We come to you, and the price is on the website

That is most of what there is to know. The rest of this page is the detail behind it, including the things we will not do.

How it actually works

Mobile only

There is no shop to drive to. We work on your driveway, at your office, or at the kerb — we do a lot of kerbside work in the denser streets and it costs the same.

Our own water and power

A filled tank and a generator travel with us. We never need your outside tap or your garage outlet, which matters in January when the tap is drained, and in a condo where there is no outlet to use.

4 crews, 4 numbers

Each town has its own crew and its own phone number, and the number you call is the crew that turns up. Nothing routes through a call centre.

Open 24 hours

You can book at any hour without speaking to anyone. Most people book late in the evening, which is exactly when a quote form would have made them wait until Monday.

Why one price, whatever you drive

Most of this trade charges by vehicle size. We do not, and the reason is that size is a poor guide to effort. A sedan's tight footwells, narrow door pockets and low seat rails take longer to do properly than the big flat panels of a pickup. Charging by size means charging more for the job that is easier.

So the price is the price: full detail $275, interior only $175, exterior only $145. The one exception is genuinely oversized vehicles — 3-row SUVs, vans, dually pickups, and luxury or exotic vehicles — at +$75. All prices exclude tax. Tax is collected at the time of payment.

Condition is priced separately and named before you book rather than discovered on the driveway. Pet hair is the honest example: it resists efficiency and has to be lifted mechanically, so it is a flat $59 on top. Both Connecticut companies we found that publish a rate for it charge $50 an hour, open-ended.

Every figure is on the services page. There is no quote form and you do not have to give us a phone number to find out what something costs.

We don't leave until you're happy

Walk around the car with us before we go. Anything you're not happy with, we put right there and then — no questions asked.

That promise is deliberately narrow. It happens while we are still on your driveway with the equipment out — not as a callback you have to chase.

What we will not claim

  • We do not sell rustproofing, and a sealant is not one. A sealant is a sacrificial layer that makes contamination easier to remove for a few months. It is genuinely useful and it is not a structural treatment.
  • Detailing does not reverse corrosion. We remove the salt that causes it. If a sill is already scaling or a brake line is pitted, that is a mechanic's job and we will say so rather than sell you a clean.
  • Paint correction removes clear coat permanently. A car has a finite amount of it, so we measure before we start, and we will talk you out of correction you do not need.
  • Some things do not come out. Dye transfer, sun-hardened dashboards, burns and deep old staining may improve and not resolve. We would rather tell you that from a photo than after you have paid.
  • We publish no star rating. There is no review score anywhere on this site, because inventing or aggregating one would be worth exactly nothing to you.

When we are not the right choice

If you want a fast, cheap tidy-up before selling a car next week, an automatic wash and a vacuum will cost a fraction of this and do most of what you need. We are slower and dearer than that, on purpose.

If your car has physical damage — kerbed alloys, dents, a cracked windscreen, torn upholstery — spend the money there first. A spotless car with a kerbed wheel still gets marked down for the wheel.

And if you are outside the towns below, say so when you ask rather than assuming. Sometimes the answer is yes anyway; sometimes the honest answer is that someone closer to you will do it better.

Which location are you near?

So we send the right crew — and the right phone number.

We'll remember this. You can change it any time.
